The power of a voice!....even if it is not a human one!
The Times of London reportsRocco, an African grey, has been using Amazon Alexa to shop online while his owner was away.
His owner, Marion Wishnewski told the newspaper she was shocked to find that her Amazon account suddenly had pending orders for various snacks, including watermelon and ice cream and also a kettle.
Rocco was rescued by the National Animal Welfare Trust (NAWT) earlier this year after being found as a stray.
She said Rocco's love for Alexa goes beyond material things. He also uses the device to listen to his favorite music from Kings of Leon!
African grey parrots (Psittacus) are particularly noted for their advanced cognitive abilities and their ability to mimic speech.
Hopefully Wishnewski will put the Alexa on mute when she is away!
