Employees Want More Health and Wellness Offerings From Employers!

Being that we just started a New Year, a lot of people are focused on health and wellness because of the resolutions they’ll probably give up in a few weeks. And according to a new poll, a lot of workers want their offices to be concerned about it, too.

A survey by OfficeTeam finds that 73% of workers are influenced by a company’s health and wellness offerings. Overall, 37% of people say a company’s programs influence their decision to work there “a great deal,” while 36% say they are “somewhat” of an influences.

As for what health and wellness incentives employees are looking for, 26% want to see companies reward workers for healthy behavior, while 23% would be interested in fitness facilities and programs. These also just happen to be the two health and wellness programs companies are most likely to offer, with 43% offering rewards and incentives for healthy behavior and 41% offering access to facilities and programs.

But they aren’t the only options employees would like.

Others include:

  • Healthy food options (15%)

  • Ergonomic evaluations and equipment (14%)

  • Stress management resources (12%)

  • On-site vaccinations or health screenings (10%)
