More Couples Are Paying For The Wedding Themselves!

For the first time, wedding-planning brand The Knot has included members of Generation Z—those born from around 1995 to 2010—in its 2018 Real Weddings Study

According to the survey, attitudes that young adults have about weddings -- and who should pay for them -- are changing.

In the past, parents have been expected to pay for weddings, usually the parents of the bride. But more and more young adults these days don’t feel like parents should be on the hook for this expense.

The survey found that 33 percent predicted that they -- along with their partner -- will pay for their weddings on their own.

Only five said they think their parents should pay for the whole thing.
