Disney World Is Opening Up A Mermaid School!

If you’ve always wished you could swim like Ariel from “The Little Mermaid,” Disney is here to make it happen for you. According to the Disney Parks Blog, several of Disney World’s on-property resort hotels will be offering Mermaid School classes to teach the skills to swim like a mermaid, with a tail and everything.

The hour-long classes will be taught by the Mermaid Academy in Orlando and will include the use of a swimmable tail during the class, because how are you supposed to be a mermaid without one? Each class will cost $50 per person and will be taught at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. The classes are only for “guests ages four and older,” but it doesn’t say anything about a max age, so we’re thinking grown-ups can happily get their mermaid tails on and dive in, too.

The Mermaid School is one of the new activities coming to Disney World’s themed resort hotels this spring. They’ll also be offering kids between the ages of four and 12 the chance to join Captain Hook’s pirate crew, art classes for guests over 12, and fishing excursions from the Magic Kingdom marinas. But learning to swim like a mermaid sounds like the most fun of all.
