Anyone who’s had to move knows it’s a hassle, and it’s certainly incredibly stressful, which is why folks tend to make a lot of mistakes when it’s time to pack up their life. In fact, a new poll finds that the average person makes five mistakes during a move, with 44% of people saying they’ve made the same mistake more than once.
So, what are the biggest moving mistakes people are making? Well, the top mistake is packing at the last minute, something 44% of people are guilty of.Other top moving mistakes include:
- Furniture won’t fit into the room I planned to put it in (37%)
- Doing everything myself (36%)
- Not saving enough for moving expenses (35%)
- New furniture delivered late (34%)
Some people hate moving so much they’d rather do anything than pack up and go again. Believe it or not, 43% of people would be willing to give up alcohol rather than move again, while 37% would give up chocolate.Other things folks would rather do than move include:
- Stand in line at the DMV (36%)
- File taxes (35%)
- Go to the dentist (29%)
