Millennials Are Giving up Meals for Snacking

Millennials are killing the beer and casual dining industry, but apparently not putting TGI Fridays or Budweiser in our mouth wasn’t enough. Now they killing all the meals! A new study says millennials skipping breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and instead preferring to eat several small snacky meals during the day.

No wonder we’re always calling each other snacks. The majority of those surveyed say they’re into grazing for their physical health, but it’s equally important to their mental and emotional well being. In fact, 71% of Millennials also said that snacking “remind themselves of home.”These Cheese-Its taste just like my mom’s recipe.

Snacking is a serious business.The top three qualities we said we’re looking for in snacks are freshness (43%), low-sugar (36%), and low-fat (31%).But don’t put down those Oreos out of shame just yet.In what seems like a counterproductive stat, Millenials said the biggest motivations for snacking are to spoil ourselves and find comfort.Looks like Hot Pockets are back on the menu!
