Olay's Super Bowl AD Is Helping Send Women To Space

Some sports fans watch the Super Bowl for the football, some just want to see the halftime performance, and others tune in for the best part: the commercials. This year, beauty brand Olay is giving us a reason to watch with their new Super Bowl ad that features five superstar women - actors Busy Phillips and Taraji P. Henson, comedian Lilly Singh, astronaut Nicole Stott, and journalist Katie Couric - and the spot will help send women to space.

The ad, called Make Space For Women, was inspired by the first all-female space walk that happened back in the fall and honors women in STEM and also promotes gender equality. Olay is raising money for Girls Who Code, an organization “on a mission to close the gender gap in technology and change the image of what a programmer looks like and does.”

Every time the hashtag #MakeSpaceForWomen appears on Twitter, Olay will donate $1 to Girls Who Code, up to $500-grand. So while we have to wait until the Super Bowl on February 2nd to see this new commercial, we can start raising money to get more females in space right now by tweeting.
