Younger Generations Are Making Their Health a Priority

The last year has been hard on a lot of people. But all that time at home has resulted in a lot of young people learning some big lessons, especially when it comes to their health.

A new survey of Millennials and Gen Z finds:

  • 70% say the past year has made them realize that they should “not sweat the small stuff” in their daily lives.
  • 60% say they are now prioritizing themselves and their own needs, something they hadn’t been doing before.
  • 68% say they’ve had a self-awakening over the past year to make their own health a priority.
  • One of those ways is practicing self-care, with 90% saying they now have a routine to do so, spending an hour a day on themselves.
  • 70% say spending time on themselves is their way of investing in future health and wellness.
  • 49% say doing so helps them maintain their overall health, while 45% say it boosts their self-esteem.
  • Some of the ways folks practice self-care include:
    • Yoga
    • Meditation
    • Exercise
    • Face masks
    • Curling up with a good book
    • Bubble baths
    • Enjoying a glass of wine
