Live entertainment is slowly returning across the country after more than a year of closed arenas and stadiums. So, are fans ready to get back out there and see their favorite show or artist? Well, it certainly sounds like it.
A new survey by Allianz Partners finds:
- 53% of Americans are planning to attend at least one live event this year.
- 16% have three or more planned before the end of the year.
- 43% will attend an outdoor festival or ticketed event, while 39% will attend an indoor one before 2021 is over.
- Those 16 to 34 are the most likely to be ready to go back to shows with 60% planning to go to an outdoor event, and 57% likely to go to an indoor one.
Of course there are some things that will make folks more comfortable about going to indoor shows right now.
- 36% of people would like to see limited capacity or additional spacing for attendees.
- 34% want attendees to have to show vaccine verification, or a proof of a negative test for those unvaccinated.
- 31% want mask requirements.
- 27% want temperature checks for all employees and guests entering the venue.
