A poll of 2,000 adults found 42% own an item which they believe brings them good fortune. The research also found 49% are superstitious, and three quarters actively do and don’t do certain things for fear of being burdened with bad luck.
I'm not a very superstitious person, but I do have a good luck charm. It's my mother's wedding ring. She passed away in 2009...and ever since then, I wear her ring whenever I need a little extra luck or courage to do something. I've worn her ring before doing a big presentation or interview. I've also worn her ring to bring me luck in high-stress situations.
