Burger King Banned 120 Artificial Ingredients From Its Food Menu

Burger King has decided to ban 120 artificial ingredients from its food menu, including flavors, colors, preservatives, and artificial sources and in doing so has launched the new “Keep It Real Meals” to kick things off. They have collaborated with several artists (kind of like what McDonald’s has been doing) including Nelly, Anitta, and Lil Huddy, and here are the new meals.

  • Nelly’s Cornell Haynes Jr Meal– a classic flame-grilled Whopper with lettuce, tomato, onions, cheese mayo, and ketchup paired with small fries and a small Sprite.
  • Anitta’s Larissa Machado Meal– includes an Impossible Whopper with lettuce, tomato, ketchup, pickles, and mustard with small fries and a small drink.
  • Lil Huddy’s Chase Hudson Meal– a hand-breaded Spicy Ch’King with cheese, four-piece mozzarella sticks, and a chocolate shake.

Ellie Doty, Chief Marketing Officer of Burger King North America, says, “We know our guests’ expectations are changing, and they want to make choices they can feel good about. By banning these 120 ingredients from our food, we’re offering guests an easy choice – delicious food made with quality ingredients.” The meals are available now at participating Burger King locations nationwide and you can get one for as little as $6 if you sign up for the new Royal Perks program we recently told you about, through the website or BK app.
