Since the recent passing of Betty White, fans of “The Golden Girls” have been nostalgic for the show and enjoying all the content related to it they can find. And now there’s a new book coming out that will help us pass along our love for our old friends to a whole new generation. Get ready for “Goodnight Girls,” a children’s book featuring the Golden Girls.
“Dorothy, Blanche, and Rose are having a sleepover!” the book’s description reads. “And, of course, they are having too much fun to go to sleep.” The bedtime story also includes Stan, Miles, and of course, cheesecake, and it promises “Easter eggs and nods to iconic show gags,” like Shady Pines.
The book’s cover brings us back to the home the girls shared, with its tropical wallpaper and crocheted bedspread. It even features the show’s official title font and Dorothy’s signature furrowed brow and Sophia’s wicker purse. The story is suitable for all ages and while it won’t be released until June 28th, 2022, you can preorder your copy online now for $8.99.
