MTV has announced reboots of two of their popular reality shows, with "Jersey Shore 2.0" and "The Hills: Next Gen," but while the concepts are the same, former cast members aren’t expected to be back…which means no Snooki or The Situation. The announcement for "Jersey Shore 2.0" says the “time-honored tradition continues with a new group of roommates moving into their own Shore house.” The original series ran six seasons from 2009 to 2012.
The reboot of The Hills won’t see returns, either, with the announcement saying, “The Hills: Next Gen will feature a brand-new cast that is expected to be more diverse than the original.” The original version of The Hills starred Lauren Conrad, Heidi Montag, and Audrina Patridge from 2006 to 2010. No premiere dates have been announced so far for either show.
