The NBA Finals between The Denver Nuggets and Miami Heat begin tonight, June 1st and Chipotle is offering fans a chance to score free burritos as part of their “free-pointer” promotion. Each time a three-point shot is made during the series Chipotle will give out 300 free meals by way of a text-to-win code from @CHIPOTLETWEETS, the chain’s Twitter handle. The first 300 viewers to text the tweeted code to 888222 get a free Chipotle entrée. Chipotle says up to 10,500 people can grab a free meal in every game.
Chipotle has given away free food in the past during NBA Finals games. In 2019, they had a text-to-win code if announcers said “free” during the broadcast and in 2021 and 2022 there were codes for free food in hidden ads during the finals. The company is not officially affiliated or endorsed by the NBA but over 12 million viewers tune in every year so it’s a great way to promote the brand. If you’re a winner this year in the “free-pointer” campaign you can get your free meal at your nearest Chipotle before June 30th.
