The Best Time To Get Pregnant

Is there an ideal time to get pregnant? One woman claims there is and she’s taken to TikTok to break it down for us. “The best time to get pregnant is at the end of February — I know I'm right and this is why," Lilly Scott says in a video with more than 5-million views.

The mom from Washington, D.C. explains the benefits of starting your pregnancy in late February:

  • “Number one, it’s Valentine’s Day ... you guys go all in and have the best time of your lives,” Scott says in the clip.
  • If you get morning sickness in the first semester, it’ll happen in March, which she calls “the worst month of the year.”
  • By June, you’ll be in your second trimester and “feeling better just in time for summer.” Scott points out that you’ll still get to travel and “there’s no pressure to look good because you have a bump at this point … you eat what you want.”
  • Then it’s fall and you’re in the third trimester, but when your belly gets really big, it’s okay because you can wear a cozy sweater.
  • Once you have the baby, it’s the start of the holiday season. “Everyone comes together for Thanksgiving, they see your baby, they do some chores for you,” Scott says.
  • Plus, she says in December, “No one is going to ask you to wrap anything. But people are going to bring you gifts and you’re going to eat cookies.”
  • The mother of one adds that by April or May, you’ll “have your body back for summer.”

While Scott says the video was a “tongue-in-cheek interpretation” of her ideal pregnancy, some TikTokers took to the comments section to disagree:

  • “Then you’re pregnant all summer. No thanks,” writes one.
  • “Hello no. I’m not giving birth to a Scorpio,” shares another.
  • And a third posts, “But could you imagine wearing pants in the 3rd trimester?”
