Commanders Hosting Kickoff Party This Friday For Fans

The Washington Commanders are gearing up for an exciting start to the 2023 NFL season by throwing a massive party right in the heart of Downtown D.C. this Friday, and everyone's invited.

The festivities will take place at Franklin Park, conveniently located next to the McPherson Square Metro Station. You'll find the park nestled between 13th and 14th Streets NW, and I and K Streets NW. So, it's easily accessible for fans from all around the District.

The main event, of course, is the Sunday showdown where the Commanders will take on the Arizona Cardinals at FedExField, kicking off at 1 p.m. But that's not all; this season, each game will have its unique theme to add an extra layer of excitement.

Game One's theme is "Welcome Home (Kickoff)," setting the tone for an incredible season ahead. And if you're wondering what's in store for the rest of the season, get ready for five marquee games with themes like "Alumni Homecoming," "Crucial Catch," "Salute to Service," "Fan Appreciation," and "Inspire Change."

But wait, there's more! The Commanders are also stepping up their game with additional league-wide initiatives. They'll be celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month, recognizing the NFL Fan of the Year, showcasing "My Cause, My Cleats," honoring the Walter Payton Man of the Year, and applauding the NFL Coach of the Week.

This season promises to be one for the books, and you won't want to miss a moment of the action!
