TSA Has A PSA For Your Pets In The Airport

The Transportation Security Administration is reminding travelers not to X-ray their pets when going through airport security. According to the TSA, the PSA is necessary because “too many” people have put their furry friends through the screening machine. Pets do have to go through security, just like their humans, but they should be taken out of their carriers and “never be screened through a checkpoint X-ray unit.” Their empty carrier does need to go through and you can carry your pet through the metal detector, or have them walk through on a leash.
