SURVEY: Couples Who Meet Online Are Less Happy

A new study from Arizona State University found that married couples who met online are less satisfied with their relationships than those who met in person – through friends, family, work, at a bar or club, etc. And it may be the very fact that they met online that dooms them. “Participants who met in online dating reported lower satisfaction and stability due, in part, to societal marginalization of their relationships,” researchers wrote. Basically, because their loved ones don't view how they met favorably, the couple begins to view their relationship less favorably.
