Reston Hosts First-Ever "Winterfest"

Get ready to kick off a brand-new holiday tradition in Northern Virginia as Reston proudly presents its first-ever "Winterfest"! From Thursday to Saturday, between 5 to 9 p.m., families and friends are invited to indulge in a three-day festival designed to usher in the holiday season with warmth and cheer.

The festivities begin with a picturesque mile-long journey through the "Enchanted Forest," adorned with holiday trees sponsored by local businesses. Each tree will be uniquely decorated and later donated to a family in need within the Reston area. The "Light Up the Park" walk promises a dazzling display of holiday lights, featuring polar bears, penguins, Santa and his elves, and more.

To ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience, attendees are encouraged to register in advance for timed entry. Free shuttles will transport visitors from three designated parking lots to Brown’s Chapel, the event's check-in location.

After the enchanting trail, attendees will find themselves at the "Vendor Village" at The Lake House, where they can relish in delicious food, refreshing drinks, and live music.

For Reston Association members, registration is free, while nonmembers can join in the festivities for $8 per child (aged 3 to 17) and $18 per adult. Additionally, for an extra $25, guests can indulge in the Santa Experience, providing kids with a unique opportunity for one-on-one time with the jolly old man before Christmas Day.

Don't miss out on the chance to create lasting memories and embrace the holiday spirit at Reston's Winterfest. Join the community in this exciting new tradition that promises festive fun for all!
