Survey: The Worst Faux Pas We Make During The Holiday Season

Have you ever unbuttoned your pants or loosened your belt at the dinner table after a huge holiday feast? While many of us have felt the need to after having a second or third serving, thankfully, we don’t all give in to that feeling because it’s one of the worst mistakes people make during the holiday season, according to a new survey.

A survey of 2-thousand reveals the top social blunders people make this time of year and it finds that one in five actually do loosen their waistband at Christmas dinner. But even more people (26%) commit the biggest Christmas crime - wearing a cheesy (or ugly) Christmas sweater.

  2. Regifting a Christmas present - 23%
  3. Undoing pants at the dinner table - 20%
  4. Not sending Christmas cards/thank you cards - 19%
  5. Wearing Christmas themed accessories - 15%
  6. Drinking too much - 15%
  7. Leaving the dinner table for a cigarette - 10%
  8. Not catering to vegetarians/ vegans - 9%
  9. Not plating the dinner nicely/correctly - 8%
  10. Not wrapping Christmas gifts - 7%
