The survey revealed that men, at 43%, are more inclined to believe that their mothers provide better care when they're sick compared to their partners, who stand at 35%. Interestingly, while 58% of men express a desire for their mothers' care when unwell, women tend to prefer being left alone, with 53% leaning towards solitude.
Regarding the expression of sickness, about 28% of respondents prefer to inform others about their condition, with 25% even sharing pictures online, predominantly men (29%) compared to women (20%). Notably, 60% of those who shared their sickness on social media admitted to posting a "sick" selfie, while 19% engaged in viral challenges or posts to pass the time.
Furthermore, the reluctance to take sick days remains prevalent, with 55% waiting until symptoms hinder productivity before considering time off. The stress associated with sick days primarily stems from concerns about falling behind at work (41%) and financial implications, particularly for women (44% vs. 34% for men).
