Rockville’s TERRIFIC Program: Kids Can Earn Free Bikes Through Good Deeds!

Hey, Rockville parents! Here’s an exciting opportunity for your first- through fifth-graders: they can earn a free bicycle by spreading kindness and giving back to the community through Rockville’s TERRIFIC program. TERRIFIC stands for Trustworthy, Earnest, Respectful, Responsible, Involved, Fair, Industrious, and Caring—qualities this program inspires in young participants.

Here’s how it works: your child needs to complete six good deeds to qualify. These can include volunteering with a charity, picking up litter, helping a neighbor in need, or other impactful acts of kindness. Not only will your child gain the joy of giving back, but they’ll also receive a shiny new bike and recognition from Mayor Monique Ashton and county councilmembers.

Ready to get started? Be sure to preregister by February 14! Visit the city’s website or call 240-314-8620 to sign up. Once registered, you’ll receive all the details by March 1 on how to track and submit your child’s good deeds.

Want to help make this initiative possible? Rockville City is seeking bike donations! To contribute, email info@rockvillebikehub.org or visit www.rockvillebikehub.org for more details.

Let’s come together to support this inspiring program and help Rockville’s kids make a positive difference!
