#OldENOUGH: A funny thing happened on my way to streaming the #Kardashians on HULU... I discovered #OldENOUGH on @Netflix and I couldn't stop watching! This... is comfort binging at its best!

A FUNNY THING HAPPENED on my way to Hulu to watch the newest reality show about the life and times of America's Royal Family... the Kardashians.

I detoured through Netflix and ended up watching most of the entire first season of OLD ENOUGH, a Japanese series which follows FREE RANGE KIDS... some as young as TWO and others a bit older, who are all running errands all over the cities and towns of JAPAN!

One lil' boy runs to town to get some flowers and some curry and such, carrying a yellow flag which he waves to stop traffic as he crosses the street. Another is sent home to make orange juice from some mandarin oranges. Another girl is sent to a town market to get some tempura and some fish and more.

Camera crews in tow, these tots run, free from helicopter parents and tiger folks and such, and they run these errands for their parents... solving problems along the way, and getting a bit of help from the adults they encounter along the way!

Click here for more on the show. This was a pretty good write-up!

This show is freaking amazing. It's bright. Wholesome. Colorful. The subtitles add a bit to the experience as we see these kids - and their parents, friends and siblings - live life and get things done. It's such great stuff... it brings about that "this feels so good feeling" you get when you've made a big bowl of your favorite comfort food... like, say, mac-and-cheese with extra cheese and a big bowl of ice cream on the side.

And... it might just remind you that yes, we can solve problems if we just believe we can - and if we have some help from others who believe in us. Sure, we may skin our knees, and yeah, we may drag some flowers back home because they're too heavy. And yeah, we may take the wrong approach, and then, need to be persuaded to try something scary. We can indeed do it... if we remember that inner boldness we had as kids... who maybe weren't so scared... once.

If you need to feel good about life, clear a few hours and stream away this weekend. Your soul will thank you for it!
