#AllTheFeels: Captain Brave inspires a college football team
Weston Derrick was only three years old when his family received the devastating diagnosis that his rare condition would gradually take away his abilities. Now at age six, Weston has been through treatments and challenges, but a non profit called Team Impact has made a huge difference in his young life. They paired him with the Boise State Broncos Football team, and it’s been a life changing relationship for all. They’ve named Weston “Captain Brave” for his positive, uplifting spirit, his courage and infectious smile. The highlight of Weston’s experience came on signing day, when they welcomed him to the team with an unforgettable ceremony...so now he’s an official Bronco. Weston is a familiar face at home games, inspiring both the team and the crowd.
