A spokesperson for Richard Simmons is again denying rumors that the 68-year-old fitness guru is being held hostage inside his home by his housekeeper, saying he is simply living a more private life now.
In a new podcast called "Missing Richard Simmons," Simmons’ longtime friend and former masseuse Mauro Oliveira said he visited his friend at his home and was disturbed by what he saw. He said Simmons "was sitting in the living room, and he was very weak, physically and mentally. He was trembling." Oliveira says he believes Simmons' housekeeper is controlling his life.
But Simmons' rep, Tom Estey, calls the accusation a "load of crap" and insists that Simmons has chosen "to live a more private life." (People)
