Whether you like Johnny Depp or not, by the sounds of it you don't want to work with him. Sources say his bad behavior caused problems during filming of "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales."
'Jack Sparrow' reportedly drank himself to excess and got into physical fights with ex-wife Amber Heard. What's more he was said to late consistently, hours late.
Depp's tardiness was so bad, in fact, that a production assistant was allegedly stationed outside his house in an unmarked car. When he awoke, he would let people on set know. “When he got up, he’d turn on the light, and the moment the light went on [the PA] would call the line producer, who would then call the directors: ‘He’s up! He’s getting ready!’” an on-set insider explains. “They even had a special code term, like ‘The eagle has landed.’ Johnny had no idea this was going on.”
The sort of silver lining? When Depp got on set, he was actually said to be lovely. “Everyone was an innocent bystander watching this train wreck,” the source adds. “But when Johnny came on set, he was charming, nice. He’s yin and yang.”
