Lady Gaga just fulfilled fans' need for speed by dropping "Hold My Hand," the theme song for Tom Cruise's much-hyped franchise reboot Top Gun: Maverick.
Gaga released the violin-laced rock ballad on Tuesday, a little more than three weeks before the film is set to hit theaters. In an Instagram post, she wrote, "I wanted to make music into a song where we share our deep need to both be understood and try to understand each other -- a longing to be close when we feel so far away and an ability to celebrate life’s heroes.”
Top Gun: Maverick is set to open on May 27th!
(the song has an odd start - give it about 5 seconds or so)
