However, the third season will focus on Penelope Featherington and her relationship with Colin Bridgerton – the couple affectionately known to fans as #Polin. Nicola Coughlan, the actress who plays Penelope, shared the news on IG. “Like Lady Whistledown, I’ve been keeping quite a big secret for quite a long time,” she said in the caption. “I can finally tell you that @bridgertonnetflix Season Three is Colin and Penelope’s Story.” Luke Newton – Colin Bridgerton – told the New York Post, “There’s so much love for that relationship. Which brings its pressures because there are people that are really excited about this story to come to the forefront. But also it really warms me.”
