We always say we're a politics-free zone here at WASH-FM but as a Swiftie who was so disappointed to not score tickets to her Eras tour, wanted to share this...Two senators are asking the Federal Trade Commission to look into the Taylor Swift presale debacle. Tennessee's Marsha Blackburn and Connecticut Democrat Richard Blumenthal sent a letter to the FTC Chair yesterday. They're asking what the commission is doing to mitigate the impact of bots and other malicious software when it comes to selling tickets on the internet. Blackburn previously sponsored the Better Online Ticket Sales Act, barring scalpers from using software programs to buy up tickets before actual customers have a chance.
