The rising cost of Thin Mints … Inflation has caused the price of just about everything to skyrocket and no one can stop it -- not even the Girl Scouts. This year, when these little fundraising cookie-peddlers hit the pavement to sell you Thin Mints and Samoas, customers may have to shell out more cash. Boxes of cookies, which have been priced around $5 for the past several years, are going up to $6 in some parts of the country.
Meanwhile...The Girl Scouts introduced a new, limited-edition flavor called Raspberry Rally, and they've become such a sensation that boxes are going for some pretty big bucks on eBay. The treats, which have been described as a fruit-flavored version of Thin Mints, were made available online only, and quickly sold out in many areas. Girl Scouts USA told People they are "disappointed" about the "unauthorized resales."
