What will happen to the National Zoo's panda habitat when the bears leave

The National Zoo is preparing for changes after its' three pandas leave. The animals will be flown back to China in two weeks. Their exhibit will undergo a major renovation. Officials say new containment glass will be added for a better and clearer view. Visitors will also see a panda pool and new climbing set. Signage along the panda house will be upgraded as well. The two-million dollar project is expected to take eight to ten months to complete.

This is all being done in the hopes that DC will be able to someday bring pandas back to the National Zoo.
